About THKF

Preserving 2,500 Years of Tamizh Civilisation

The Tamizh Heritage & Knowledge Foundation (THKF) is a Coimbatore-based Public Charitable Trust established on 29 January 2026 under the Indian Trusts Act, 1882. We are dedicated to preserving, documenting, digitizing, and reviving Tamil heritage for current and future generations.

Tamil is the world's oldest continuously spoken classical language with an unbroken literary tradition spanning over 2,500 years. Yet more than 2 lakh palm-leaf manuscripts remain undigitised and at risk. Living traditions — Siddha medicine, folk arts, temple knowledge — are being lost as oral transmission chains break.

THKF deploys Artificial Intelligence, Augmented Reality, and immersive technology to bridge the ancient and the future — making Tamil heritage accessible to scholars, communities, students, and the global Tamil diaspora.

Headquartered at No. 55, Sandhyagu Street, Red Fields Road, Puliakulam, Ramanathapuram, Coimbatore – 641 045 — the heart of Kongu Nadu, one of Tamil Nadu's richest heritage zones.
